Applying for a Library Card
A free Yavapai Library Network card is available to all Yavapai and Coconino County residents with:
- Photo ID
- Proof of Residency
Timeshare ownership does not qualify as proof of local residency. A parent or guardian signature is required for applicants under the age of 18.
You must apply in person at Sedona Public Library or SPL In the Village. You may complete the application in advance or at the library.
Non-residents may apply for a Sedona Public Library visitor card. A $50.00 deposit is required. The deposit is refundable, less a $5.00 processing fee, when the card is returned, no fines or fees are outstanding, and the original receipt for the deposit is presented.
Each patron may check out up to 50 items, with the following restrictions:
- 1 Popular DVD
- 1 Popular book
- 1 Popular CD audiobook
- 5 each of the following:
- CD audiobooks
- Cassette audiobooks
- Music CDs
- 6 OverDrive ebooks or downloadable audiobooks
Check out period is 3 weeks, except for DVDs which may be checked out for 1 week.
OverDrive ebooks and downloadable audiobooks are not renewable. Popular items (pink tape on spine), New items (yellow tape on spine), and DVDs may be renewed 1 time, unless they are on hold for another patron. Other materials may be renewed up to 3 times.
Overdue fines on Sedona Public Library items are 15 cents per item per day, with a $3 per item maximum. If fines on a card exceed $10 use of the card will be blocked.
Items from other YLN libraries may have different loan periods and fines
Replacement fee for a lost library card is $5.
