1881 Quartermaster Plates for the U.S. Army Dress Helmet, no author, no date, no publisher. $16.00.
Eleven “lithotype” photographs of United States Army helmets and other insignia; not dated, but presumably from some time around 1881. The plates are 9 ½” x 8 ¾”, bound fold-out style in a plain blue library type binding with gold lettering. No author, no place, no publisher, and no date are given, as the flyleaf and frontispiece pages are blank. The only clue as to date is in the title, but although the photographs may be contemporary, obviously the book was bound well after 1881. An interesting piece of 19th Century American militaria.
Blue hardcover with gold lettering. 5 5/8” x 9”, 12 foldout photos. Book is in excellent condition; foldout pages have been reinforced with tape, and are also in very good condition. # 0903-098 |

Sixty of his works are reproduced on heavy paper in this book, which also contains a brief autobiography of the author.
Oversize hard cover with full-color dust jacket, 13 ½” x 9 ½”, 168 pp. The book is in very good condition, with minor shelf wear to the dust jacket. # 0903-032 |

[NBC Began with Great Music], by the National Broadcasting Company. New York: NBC, 1938. $20.00.
A monograph celebrating the 11th anniversary of NBC and its relationship with classical music. It describes such NBC innovations and productions as the NBC Symphony, Metropolitan Opera Broadcasts Music,” and Old World Music Festivals. There is also a section on choral music on NBC, including folk music, light opera and operetta, and popular music.
Almost half of the pages are devoted to many black and white photographs, from the first broadcast, Christmas 1931, to the full NBE Symphony Orchestra in 1938. A wonderful treasure for someone interested in music history or broadcasting.
Large magazine size, 9 ¾” x 12 ¾”, 32 pp. In good condition overall, with folding of some upper right corners. Still has the original “red tape” to keep the pages neat.
