About the Friends

The Friends of the Sedona Library supports Sedona Public Library as it strives to encourage literacy, lifelong learning, and the love of reading throughout our diverse community. The Friends group enhances the Library’s resources, increases the community’s access to information and knowledge, helps provide a vibrant cultural gathering place, and cultivates a sense of public involvement through volunteering for the community.

Included with a Friends membership are:
  1. Ten percent discount at the Friends used bookstore
  2. Previews of events prior to public opening
  3. Friends newsletter

Book Sales

The Friends of the Sedona Library operates a used bookstore in the house adjacent to the Library, at 3270 White Bear Road. Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. Please drop off book donations at this location.

We are always in need of volunteers who are able to price and shelve donations. If you have computer and internet experience, you can do research for pricing as well as online sales.

Volunteers need not spend more than a few hours a week helping. Whether you are in high school or are retired, if you have extra time on your hands, we can certainly use you!

Book Donations

You can support the Library when you donate your books and more to the Friends bookstore. Please bring your items to the bookstore at 3270 White Bear Road, adjacent to the Library.

Your donation may be tax deductible, and you will receive a receipt at the time of drop off; however, we can't assign a dollar value to your gift.
Donations we like:
  • Gently used hardcover and paperback books, fiction and nonfiction, for children and adults
  • Antique or collectible books regardless of condition, including first editions and autographed copies
  • Commercially recorded audio and video cassettes, CDs, and DVDs
Please do not give us:
  • Magazines and magazine-like materials
  • Reader’s Digest Condensed Books
  • Textbooks
  • Travel guides or investing books older than five years
  • Encyclopedias
